One lesson I've learned today is that I can be frank and stern if a dear friend of mine had been verbally abuse. Even though the one who "abused" is also a dear friend of mine. You see, sometimes we need to draw the line. We still do need to put RESPECT in the middle of a relationship. It's also a way of protecting not only your "abused friend" but also the "abuser friend". It's a way of showing you love them.
When you're a REAL friend expect to be told the truth. Why be with someone if you have to walk on eggshells with them? Be direct, be honest. If they’re being an asshole, tell them. It's also for them. To save their souls! To maintain their dignity. To tell them their attitude isn't acceptable. Because if you can't reprimand your friend who else can do it?
