The difference between pity and charity is the priest's homily a while ago. He stated that pity is when someone begs you for something and you give it to them. While, charity is when you give something to someone without them asking or begging for it. You just see and feel the need to help that someone.
A really nice message to share :) May we all be aware of the needs of the people around us. Not just because they ask for your help and you are just pitiful on what they feel. But because you already see the needs before they ask for it. A charitable heart delights Our Father the most! Spread the love! :)
